The top 3 Seiko Watches to purchase

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. Seiko produces watches with quartz, kinetic, solar, and mechanical movements of varying prices.Seiko  was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called K. Hattori. The first watches produced under the Seiko brand appeared in 1924. In 1969, Seiko introduced the Astron, the world's first production quartz watch; when it was introduced, it cost the same as a medium-sized car. We will be focusing on 3 types of Seiko watch to invest in.

  • Seiko Marinemaster SBDX001- The SBDX001 remains the most popular Seiko watch. The Seiko Marinemaster is a great daily wearer and offers good value for money. The premium 8L35 Seiko movement is self-winding, hacks, and it can be hand wound. The movement has a 50 hour power reserve and it is very accurate to +15 to -10 seconds per day. It comes on a stainless steel bracelet with a double locking fold-over push-button clasp with a divers extension. It includes manual, an extra rubber strap and a Seiko Prospex box.
  • Seiko SKX007- The Seiko SKX007 (and SKX009 for that matter) is one of the most popular mechanical (Seiko) watches under 1000 Euro anyway. A terrific beater watch, that offers great value for money. With a retail price around 300 Euro, it is very tough to beat this one.
  • Grand Seiko SBGV009- Their quartz caliber 9F movements are very high-end. They are impressive by specifications but also by aesthetics. The Grand Seiko reference SBGV009 is actually a 50th anniversary limited edition of 1200 pieces to commemorate the very first Grand Seiko with a date, the 1964 ‘Self-Dater’.

In essence, Seiko watches are worth the investment as they are the most popular wristwatches on the market. The top 3 Seiko watches to invest in are Seiko Marinemaster SBDX001, Seiko SKX007 and Grand Seiko SBGV009.
