Celebrate National Chocolate Day in NYC

Today is a day that everyone can celebrate (unless allergic) -- National Chocolate Day. In honor of this wonderful holiday, we're listing the best places to pick up some chocolate in NYC. Whether you want to get some for a date, an event, or just for yourself to munch on, feel free to satisfy your sweet tooth. Consider us chocolate connoisseurs, instead of suit connoisseurs, for today.

National Chocolate Day

1. Hot Chocolate at Jacques Torres Chocolate

Two words: hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is delicious... actually everything here is pretty delicious. Chocolate bars, cookies, and a variety of chocolate-covered snacks are available. Stopping by one of the Jacques Torres locations on National Chocolate Day is a fool-proof way to celebrate the day.

2. Nama at ROYCE' Chocolate

ROYCE' is home to very decadent chocolate. They are famous for their Nama Chocolate, a Japanese favorite. Nama is very rich and creamy. You can get it in multiple flavors, including matcha green tea and champagne.

3. Macarons at La Maison du Chocolat

The prices are more concerning than the calories, but since it's National Chocolate Day, we can treat ourselves. La Maison du Chocolat is originally from France, but they've brought their sweet treats over to NYC. The macarons are what we recommend, but really, you can't go wrong with any type of chocolate dessert.

4. Cookies at Insomnia Cookies

On National Chocolate Day (or any other day of the week) you can get some chocolate chip cookies delivered to your door at 2 am. Founded in a college dorm room in 2003, this business has really grown since then. In fact, they just opened up their 100th store earlier this week. Insomnia Cookies locations are generally open from 10 am - 3 am, so you can fulfill your chocolate craving at the office, and at home.

With these four suggestions, you're bound to find some type of satsifying chocolate treat. And hey, don't be afraid to celebrate National Chocolate Day every day -- we know the stressful holiday season is approaching.
